DESCRIPTION
Black Swan’s Detectable Marking Tape is a superior detectable marking tape used for location and early warning protection for non-metallic underground lines. The solid aluminum core is encased between two layers of plastic with an overall thickness of 5 mil (.005″). With proper detection equipment this tape is easily located. All printing is encapsulated in the tape providing a permanence of message.
Black Swan’s Detectable Marking Tape is made of 100% virgin, low density, polyethylene material that is element resistant. The solid aluminum core is encased between two layers of plastic with an overall thickness of 5 mil (.005″) and density of 0.9222 (gm/cc). Withstands temperatures of -94° F through 200° F.
Meets federal gas safety regulations S-192-321E. Meets OSHA regulation 1926-956-(C)(I) covering the location of underground utility lines.
DIRECTIONS
For best results shallow bury tape 6″ – 12″ from finished grade, ensuring maximum distance between warning tape and buried pipe.
